how thin should i apply thermal paste on core die

ok im gonna give it another go with my cpu i currently hit tmax with 4.4ghz overclock using 1.28v (i know its high but i have no control over vcore and im using turbo voltage[in xtu] to boost vcore)

this is the amount i have on core die now

(less than pre applied intel tim but it contacts to ihs ,i guess?)

this is the paste applied on ihs itself its not much i tell you that but it looks a lot in this picture

Don't spread the damn paste! Just put a blob in the middle.

i tried it it made no change at all also increased 4rd and 1rd cores temp 3c

Needs a finer grit before you actually apply it, it should be a mirror finish.

900grid took 1 hour ,if i had better and more sandpaper i would have gone for 2000grid
