The small end goes to the smaller number and the big end goes to the bigger number so 4<9

So im stupid and i don't remember which one is which. is < bigger ex 4<9 correct or other way around 4>9

Picture it as a mouth. The mouth will always open and point towards the larger number to try to eat it.
