Go to solution Solved by Sauron,

Hmmm if i wanna get into multiplayer i shouldnt bother with WoL and HotS right?

yeah, they are going to slowly fade away completely as more players move over to lotv. wol should be pretty much a desert by now.

So there's this blackfriday sale going on for WoL and HotS http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/blog/19966675?utm_content=external-sso&utm_medium=internal&utm_source=app-other#comments

I was wondering whether do i need both of these expansions to play multiplayer or can i just grab LotV on it's own?

No, LotV is standalone. However you need WoL to play HotS. (unless they changed that with the last patch)

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Depends, if you're planning to spend a good amount of time with it, yes. It is a great game and an awesome multiplayer experience. However, if you're not interested in the campaign, of course you're not getting all you paid for. 40$ aren't that much, but if you're short on funds it may be worth it to wait a bit. I personally am waiting a while because right now I probably wouldn't have the time to play it as much as I'd like to, but I certainly plan to get it in the future.

Sounds just like me! Thanks for the clarification and your input :)
