Hello since its almost X-mas and my grades have been doing quite well. I was looking in the neighborhood for some gaming laptops.

Here is my list of needs and wants.

+ Want a screen thats small like 15 inches or even a little bigger than that but I rather have it small for portability

+ Must have an optical drive and can't be too flat or bulky, I can deal with bulkyness but to some extent.

+ Must have a long battery life 6-5 hours ( I turn down my brightness settings always with my school given laptop and it lasts a good 10 hours )

+ can be either an APU or CPU/GPU gaming laptop.  If needed I will purchase higher speedy ram for the APU.

+ For CPU can be an i5 or i7. or in APU's an A10 or A8 series APU.   Just not a U for the i5 I can deal with an U for the i7 but not i5. Preferred the HQ ones.

+Dedicated GPU must be GTX 860M, 940, 950 or 960 or anything else thats good performance and of course can't be GDDR3 VRAM.

+ 8GB Ram or 16 GB either one works.

+ SSD or HDD. Preferred a Hybrid drive to be honest.

Price : 800-900$. If so I will be willing to purchase it with half and half payment ( Some of my money and some of my parents money )

So shoot out some suggestions will ya lads?  Of course thank you for helping me out.

NEVER GIVE UP. NEVER STOP LEARNING. DONT LET THE PAST HURT YOU. YOU CAN DOOOOO IT

Especially for the 800-900 buck price range, I see no reason to get something with an APU. They just simply aren't that good. I would recommend a Lenovo Y50, but the battery life is less than good. Besides that, it fits most of your criteria. Just not battery and CD drive. I would argue that optical media is basically obsolete, so unless you use cd's everywhere you go and something like at least 3-5 times a week, you can live with a small external drive.

Laptop - Lenovo Y50   Keyboard - Corsair K95 RGB Cherry MX Brown   Mouse - Logitech G502 Proteus Core   Mousepad - Razer Firefly
