First of all, I would like to start off that I am sincerely sorry if I posted this in the wrong section. I looked around for at least 15 mins deciding where to put this thread and couldn't find an appropriate sub-forum, so I decided to post it here.

Anyways, I am looking for a laptop for university under 800$CAD with dedicated graphics. Preferably be around 14" ^^ I was initially going to get this one: http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/asus-asus-r405cb-14-1-laptop-black-intel-core-i5-3337u-750gb-hdd-8gb-ram-windows-8-r405cb-fb51-cb/10256770.aspx?path=668e4849c241528be776cbc69a135632en02&SearchPageIndex=1 , but as you can see, it is out of stock x.x

I'm open to any branding and I'm not really a hardcore gamer. Just want to play the occasional dota2 game ^^

--edit--

some people just dont read the thread

Integrated graphics should be fine for what you're doing. I'd just get a laptop with that, a hdd caddy, and an ssd for 2 drives with capacity and speed.

thanks for the serious reply ^^ but I was looking for a smaller size (14 inches). I was looking at this one: http://www.staples.ca/en/ASUS-156-Laptop-27GHz-Intel-i5-3777u-6GB-RAM-500GB-HD-English/product_34957_2-CA_1_20001 and if I was going to get a 15 inch laptop, I'd get that one. I just want something that works, and is light :\

Have you considered ultrabooks?  http://www.ncix.ca/products/?sku=74278&vpn=NX%2ERYXAA%2E004&manufacture=Acer&promoid=1349 This is an excellent laptop and the Haswell version which will come out soon will definitely be better in terms of battery. I doubt dota2 will take much graphics processing and you could always play on low.
