What M.2 SSD to get?

So what SSD you would recommend that's not M.2?

for sub 500GB sizes? cheaest of mx200/bx100/850 evo. For large sizes? Sandisk ultra II

I have ASUS Maximus VII Hero mobo and what M.2 should I get? Will it drive Intel's 535 M.2? I'm so confused about this... And if it will not what M.2 SSD should I get? Is it worth it?

Unless you are running a pcie m.2 there isn't any point to going m.2. It will preform identically to the sata counterpart.

That said, pcie drives are almost never worth it. Terrible investment with effectively no tangible difference to the average consumer (or even average enthusiast).

So which PCIe M.2 SSD can I put intoy Maximus VII Hero? And why is it not worth it? Those supposed to be fast? And I want to make a boot drove out of it...

Because loading times don't noticeably improve at all and boot times can sometimes be worse. Plus the m.2 slot on your mobo cant even give full speed (it's limited to 10 gb/s or around 1.25 GB/s).

Finally because it's horribly cost inefficient.
