TuneCore Data Breach.

A large music distribution / Labeling company responsible for a large amount of major releases on most music platforms (iTunes, Beatport and Spotify to name a few.) Had a massive security breach within the past few hours. Although they have now secured their servers a large amount of user information was leaked including; names, addresses, billing information, payment information and user passwords. 

 

"For those customers who provided us with billing information, the data that may have been accessed includes: billing addresses; the last 4 digits of credit card numbers, as well as their expiration dates; bank names, the last 4 digits of bank account numbers, and the last 4 digits of bank routing numbers, and the name and address associated with the bank account on file." (TuneCore Explanation, 2015)

 

TuneCore stated that this hack was performed as early as November 17th 2015 and that they are working with law enforcement in order to find who committed the hack.
