I want to build a budget PC for just for fun creative work, after trying to render with blender using an Intel 5500 graphics chip, I decided I needed a PC with a real video card. I am looking for under $500.

  • At least 8 GB of RAM
  • At least an Intel i3 chip with haswell (if not skylake)  technology
  • At least a 128 GB SSD
  • At least a 1 TB HDD
  • At least 4 USB 3.0 Ports on the motherboard
  • At least a DVD reader & writer
  • Windows 10

I am mainly going to use this computer for web browsing, screen recording while playing Minecraft, image editing, video editing, blender, illustration software, and publishing software.

Got an Android, never going back to apple again (notice I spelled apple with a lowercase and Android with an uppercase)

For under $500. Good luck with that considering the parts you want.

You've gotta be kidding me, all that plus a Wacom tablet for under $500?

I think you need to get some handle on what parts actually cost, because you're a little out there.

That said:

Do your programs favor Nvidia or AMD?
Do you need Windows 10 factored in? That alone is 1/5 of your budget, and if it's for work I would not get it from Reddit/G2A etc.

Even your main points are a little high.

You didn't answer a single question I asked to help the build.

Sorry, I live in the US and My programs don't favor anything in particular although Nvidea would be nice, it's not professional, although I wouldn't want a copy off of reddit, because given the way windows is going, I want to be able to upgrade to the next version for free. I just changed my original post from a skylake CPU to at least a Haswell CPU

With $100 left, get a second hand 79-- Series AMD card that was bitcoined before.

And also your wacom tablet for the rest of the money and more.

This is probably the only choice considering i was forced to even put a cx inside.

If you are studying, use DREAMSPARK for your windows keys.

Do you require a screen?

Im not really sure what a wacom tablet is, it is a drawing monitor i guess.

So you wan't the output display to be on the wacom tablet?

I do not require a screen. a wacom tablet is like a trackpad except with a stylus for it to make creativity easier on a desktop pc (Wacom is a brand):

Oh i see, but i have seen version of it that has a built in monitor, guess that is not what you are looking for then.

Here's why what you ask for is so hard. Here's what I'd go with, with the cheapest reliable parts I could find.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i3-4170 3.7GHz Dual-Core Processor  ($112.89 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: Asus B85M-D PLUS Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($49.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory  ($29.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($59.00 @ Amazon)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($49.98 @ OutletPC)
Case: Fractal Design Core 1000 USB 3.0 MicroATX Mid Tower Case  ($29.99 @ Micro Center)
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 750W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply  ($49.99 @ Amazon)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM (64-bit)  ($89.88 @ OutletPC)
Total: $471.71

It still lacks a video card.

I wouldn't bother with a fully modular power supply, semi-modular is just as good; you need the CPU power plugs regardless of what you do with the rest.

So before I posted this, I tried my hand at choosing parts on pcpartpicker.com. I got it to $800 (Including the OS) and I figured if anyone could get it lower without compromise it was the people on linustechtips.com, so I posted this topic.
