I cannot CLEAN ALL on my SSD through diskpart

DewgSauce
Go to solution Solved by Godlygamer23,

so i should replace the ssd?

If it's not being recognized at all in another PC and you're running into issues like this, I feel like the SSD is at fault.

when i try and CLEAN ALL on my SSD through DISKPART it says "DiskPart has encountered an error: The system cannot find the file specified."

I need to format my ssd to reinstall windows 10 but i get this error. What do i do?

Are you formatting while booting off of it?

Do you have another drive that you can boot from?

wait so you're trying to format a secondary ssd?  You can't format it while you have it mounted?  Try loading the new os disk/usb and then formatting the ssd when it asks where you'd like to install the os...

How old is your SSD? It may be damaged or corrupted.

Basically i'm trying to install windows onto my SSD through a win10 bootable USB drive. I need to reeformat because it says that there is a partition missing from my SSD when i try to install. I get this error when i try to clean all through CMD

And this is all running on a separate drive from the SSD or is it coming from the SSD?

Delete the partition(not format) and create it again.

In the Windows installer, you can delete and create partitions using the GUI.
