Hi.

I've overlocked my 6700k to 4.7 GHZ. Runs stable.

It only runs stable when I set the cpu voltage to Auto. Which brings it to 1.319~1.430v

Is it safe for the Skylake? Or am I damaging it?

It's my first time overclocking. I could use the help. I use Asus z170 Pro Gamer motherboard.

Try setting it to 1.3V.

avoid auto voltage. for long lifespan dont go above 1.3. 1.35 is still safe it just may last a little less then 1.3. youll still get a few years out of it probably. if its not stable at 1.35 you either increase it to 1.375 or go back to 4.6

This^

That extra 100Mhz only gives you 2% increase in performance which isn't worth the wear on the cpu

Secondly what are your temps @Teitaron (this is more important than voltage)

Things increase exponentially on some chips once they are near their max, where as small increments may gain you another multi after a point you have to drastically start increasing voltage, you might have to either cut back the clock and run 4.5 or up the voltage and run the 4.7 and see exactly what it takes but I wouldn't leave it on auto.
