Can I use rubbing alcohol (70% alcohol) to clean off thermal paste? One of my GPU waterblocks arrived yesterday, and I feel like putting it together, but I have nothing besides rubbing alcohol to clean off the old TIM with. If not I'll wait til more money arrives tomorrow and buy some 99% isopropyl.

yes u can. 99% and 70% just shows how much of it is alcohol, the other 1% or 30% is water, it just takes longer to evaporate. so all you need to do is wipe and then dry it off with a lint free cloth

You can use 70%, but make sure to get rid of as much of the moisture as you can.

@Windspeed36 @Classics @shirokado  alright thanks, I may just take one of the cards out and put the block on it, and leave it in the box til I order rads/pumps, I haven't been playing a lot of games I need both 780's for anyways. Then I don't have as much to worry about later on, and I'll learn how to do it. Feeling lazy though, last 2 days I had to help my family with a Semi-Truck show, both days was there 14 hours :/
