  1. The Ryzen 3200G is significantly worse and actually £10 more expensive than the i3. The suggestion for the RX570 is very good though, thank you. And I understand that generally gaming PCs do want about 8gb, but this is a question more specifically geared towards whether GTA5 can tolerate 4GB as my partner has little to no interest in other games.
  2. Your ryzen 5 1600 isn't the fastest but I can definitely confirm that WoW raids are terribly optimised. I was probably sitting on 20 - 30fps for the majority of my time raiding in BFA with an i5 6600 + GTX 1080.
  3. Budget (including currency): £200 - £300 Country: UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: GTA5 @ 1080p 60hz Other details: The main requriement is being able to play GTA5 comfortably at medium settings 1080p 60hz. No peripherals are included in the budget, it's purely for the tower. I've not kept up to date with parts over the past couple of years so I'm not really sure what to go for to get the best price:performance whilst maintaining an incredibly low budget. This computer is for my girlfriend whose most demanding task will be the GTA5. Something to note; I've already got a 240GB SSD lying around so I won't need any additional storage for now. So far I've been putting together a parts list and it's seeming really hard to find anything that would even be close to this for the budget: CPU: i3 9100f (£63) MOBO: Asus Prime H310M-K R.20 (£57) RAM: 8GB of cheap stuff (£35) PSU: Kolink 500w 80+ Bronze (£40) Case: Anything that's £20 doesn't matter. So far that puts us at around £215, leaving me with £85 to find a GPU with. Going 2nd hand isn't something I mind doing so I'd probably search for a preowned 1550/1650 or maybe even a 970. My main question is this; are there any cheaper cpu/mobo combos that could comfortably run GTA5? From what research I've done the i3 9100f is by far better than anything else at its price point. I was also thinking I could drop the RAM to 4GB but I'm not sure if that would choke up GTA5 or not, if anybody could answer that for me that would be great. Will be looking forward to any suggestions, thanks. EDIT: I'm also considering an APU but last I checked APUs were terrible, does anybody know how the new Ryzen APUs could handle GTA5?
  4. I was looking in the recommended section and unless I missed it; there was no mention of speakers. I'm looking to get some speakers than come with a sub for around £50($75). If you know any that may cost a little bit more but are really worth it please still let me know and I will consider saving for them if it's really worth it. Thanks for reading.
  5. Hardware Monitor pro is telling me that my motherboard socket temp is 95c with a max 223c. If that was true wouldn't my pc have just been completely fucked up by now? Also Speccy is reporting 36c with no variation at all, I don't believe this is true as the temp is not moving at all, only shows 36c. And other times speccy will show 90c+ with no variation. Also the air being exhausted from my system is not even remotely hot. Thanks for reading.
  6. I just checked in my BIOS and the RAM voltage is 1.632, I just reinstalled Windows to my machine currently on 8 but I will see if I can upgrade back to 10 shortly..
  7. I think the ram voltage is 2.448 as shown in HWMonitor? I haven't touched it, it's default. And I just hit 100c playing LoL in a custom game, surely something is wrong there? I am using the stock cooler because I couldn't get my Hyper EVO 212 to mount correctly, but 100c is stupidly high? I don't even know if it's correct because the air exhuasting from my PC wasn't hot at all
  8. So I've just upgraded my AMD FX-8320 to an Intel core i5 6600 and in Speccy it's reporting these temperatures.. I'm 100% certain that the motherboard reading is wrong it never changes it's always 88c, is there anyway to fix this or should I just not worry about it? EDIT: I installed HWMonitor and it's reporting a different more reasonable temperature, I think Speccy may be bugged..
  9. Can't believe I didn't think of this... This is the culprit. I believe this is an issue with Witcher 3? And the critical error is when I had to hard restart it.. Thank you. Take it as you will, it's of little concern to me.
  10. I was playing The Witcher 3 and all of a sudden my computer just turned off?. My monitors said no signal then went off into standby, but all of my fans and leds were still on, also the hard drive activity leds were still going. After hard restarting my computer it went to functioning correctly as it should. Is there something I should be concerned about here? It's the first time something like that has ever happened. My temps were fine and this happened to the rig in my signature, so it's not incompatibility of parts. Anyone know what could of happened?
  11. 970 performs the best and they're literally silent. The fans don't even turn on until it hits 60c~ (At least for my EVGA one). I very recently upgraded from a 7970 (280x pretty much) and I'd have to recommend the 970.
  12. It was more the restarting that got to me than the hang. My temps were more than fine.
  13. I recently tried to overclock my rig in my signature, and during a prime95 test my system hung. It scared me so I immediately hard restarted it (during which time it turned off and on 3 times before showing the boot screen), went into the BOIS and changed all the settings back to default. Is this kind of behaviour normal? I understand that my clock wasn't stable and something was going to happen, but I was expecting a blue screen, not a hang then multiple restarts. Should I brave on or am I risking damage to my CPU?
  14. I would surround game if I had the 3 monitors, but it's not that big of a deal to me, more of an extra than my main priority. Thank you for the advice and the monitor suggestion, it appears to be much nicer than the LG one I had originally.
