Hey guys.

Is anyone able to advise (without spoilers please) if completing quests with a certain Fallout 4 faction will cause you to fallout (see what did there) with another faction?

For example if I do quests for the BOS will the Minute Men eventually get pissed off at me?

Thanks in advance.

OMGHER! Finally a original(ish) post about FO4. For that, I will assist! :D

All fractions but the Minuteman will eventually hate you if you go to far with another fraction.  3/4 are all enemies of the other and the MM are neutral/good and it's really hard for you to piss them off (idk if it's even possible).

You can get thru pretty far with each fraction before the other turns against you. Idk about the other two but I know for the Institute before I did a mission the game actually paused and warned me if I proceed the BOS will turn hostile (which was helpful).

But even still, you can accidentally lock out other quests with fractions even if they still like you. Screwed myself over that way.

TL:DR : Up until the very final quests, you can side with all fractions w/o much trouble.

Thanks for that. I think I am going to carry on with the Minute Men and choose one of the other factions and stick with them.

This is accurate.  Though, I found that if you try to play multiple factions as far as you can take them, it sort of kills the immersion.  At least for me it started to disconnect me If I was helping multiple factions advance their goals.  The way each group would respond to you even though you weren't with them, "full-time" didn't jive for me.  It's due in part to the limits of the programming in the game.  My advice would be to just stick to one group other than the Minutemen.  It might seem like you are missing out on content... but it's more role playing and a better story that way.

Yeah I plan on doing this. Can always do another play through with another faction.

Yes I understand, the way they explain away the idea of you being in multiple factions was silly. Sometimes it made complete sense other times it was like ehhh okay?

On my second play through (1st one I sided with Railroad) and it feels like a whole different story which is weird since the missions aren't that different xD. This time I'm mainly focusing on MM quests and exploring.
