Hey everyone. I just thought this would be a cool question to ask for Nvidia's new series coming out Q1 2016. For some of you that might not know, the company called 3Dfx was acquired by Nvidia in 1999/2000. They made some really awesome video cards called Voodoo, Voodoo 2, ect ect.

Since Nvidia owns all the rights, who here would think it would be pretty cool for this totally new video card to be named "Voodoo" and to let Geforce take a break?

going back to voodoo would be going backwards, instead of heading on to the future.

i'm sure nvidia could think of an "even cooler" name if they'd want to.

I dunno, AMD did pull the ol' Fury name back out. Maybe nostalgia is where it's at now?

I don't think nVidia would make a "Voodoo" card purely just so they can avoid any conflict with HP, since they own the trademarks to "VoodooPC".

I kinda like the name GeForce better than Voodoo though.

I kinda like the sound of "Nvidia Geforce Voodoo 180". It's certainly better than some of the nonsense they've come up with lately like the Titan branding scheme. They already jumped to the end and used X and Z, so where do you even go from there? Titan Q?

Bumping, need more votes. I have a few of these at other forums and I'm going to submit to nVidia marketing :D
