Corsair AF 120 quite edition

MACGYVR

I bought these when i built my pc bout 4 months ago, and i just now had my first serious case of coil whine, it came from one f the front mounted corsair af fans,

i stopped it from spinning and the noise stopped, then i let it go and the whine kept ... whining

here is what bothers me after about 3 minutes the whine quit and as of right now its fine.

i am going to take it out later today and clean it, but is this something i should worry about if it happens again?

can it be fixed? keep in mind i havent cleaned it yet, and after about 4 months even though its filtered it probably needs it.

4 months old never tortured fan coil whining?  how, why...

i hope its just because its got some dust in there,

what do you guys think?

thanks

Yes they are. 30 usd each.

Corsair fans are total trash, I'd personally recommend the fractal design venturi hf-12/14 fans as they are both very near to equal (140mm fans are right on par, 120mm are marginally worse) the quality/performance/acoustics of the noctua fans while being like half the price.

Plus sexy all black.

They are very expensive tho, how much are you willing to pay for a fan? Cause there are many alternatives at different price brackets.

id pay the price for noctua fans, because if i spend $1000 on my hardware alone i want good cooling and silent as possible.
