Is it important to change components after a year

IamPineapple_

Hi, I got my first gaming computer a year ago (specs at the end of the post) and I was wondering if it is important to change the components after this much time. If yes, can anybody suggest me a great upgrade for my daily usage (gaming and internet surfing).

-SPECS: CPU: intel core i5 4460

GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 970 superclocked edition acx 2.0

               Power supply : Rosewill 550w 80 bronze

               Motherboard : ASrock h97m Anniversary

               Memory : 8GB G.skill sniper

               HDD : WB 1tb

Cpu cooler : Cooler master 212 evo

               Case fans : Stock fans

               Case : cooler master N400

Btw, the computer run very well in every kind of usage. Thank you for the answers

Change components as you see required. If they work for you, there is no need for changes/upgrades.

your machine is fine for 2016 ;)

so, unless you bump resolution to 1440p (which is the upgrade i would suggest you consider doing, a good 27'' 1440p gaming monitor will make your experience much better) then you might want a more powerful GPU at a later date, but for 1080p you're all set for a little while.

240GB SSD to install your OS and programs and a few games would be a nice upgrade as well.

| CPU: Core i7-8700K @ 4.89ghz - 1.21v  Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z370-E GAMING  CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i V2 |
| GPU: MSI RTX 3080Ti Ventus 3X OC  RAM: 32GB T-Force Delta RGB 3066mhz |
| Displays: Acer Predator XB270HU 1440p Gsync 144hz IPS Gaming monitor | Oculus Quest 2 VR

Get an SSD. 120gb will be enough, but please get one. You'll have a much better experience with one.

Aside for that, the system is pretty well balanced.
