Go to solution Solved by minibois,

Have you installed the latest software?

Yeah, I have already reinstalled the software a couple of times, that is not the problem. I think my problem is just very specific because of my use..

Shit its 70 dollars thats a lot i can afford it (im only 14 ;D) but maybe there are any cheaper alteratives?

You can go second hand or an earlier model, like I have this one: http://www.amazon.com/Wacom-Intuos-Tablet-Certified-Refurbished/dp/B00MJKE0AU/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1449071208&sr=1-2&keywords=wacom+intuos+pen+small

You can also get something from another company, like what Huion has:

http://www.amazon.com/Huion-Inches-Tablet-Graphics-Drawing/dp/B00DTPYWBG/ref=sr_1_8?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1449071298&sr=1-8&keywords=huion

http://www.amazon.com/Huion-Graphic-Drawing-Tablet-Pressure/dp/B00DKW816K/ref=sr_1_5?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1449071298&sr=1-5&keywords=huion

I believe @NeatSquidYT has either one of those, but he uses it for a game and not drawing.. He could still give some feedback on it.

You can try Lynda.com with a free trial (courtesy of Linus)

I learned how to use after effects from learning the basics then looking at tutorials. I have mastered it without buying it. You can do the same for photoshop.

Follow some tutorials, try some stuff, get some inspiration.

YouTube is filled with many awesome tutorials, but I can't point your to anything specific since I don't use Photoshop, but another graphics program :P

I have never used Lynda, maybe they don't have drawing tutorials.. I don't know.

As I said, I recommend YouTube tutorials as I have learned a lot from those: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=photoshop+drawing+tutorial

What kind of drawing do you do? With a drawing tablet (Like Wacom or Huie or similar)?

Wacom, you can never go wrong with a Wacom.  For example, this model

http://www.wacom.com/en-us/products/pen-tablets/intuos-draw

As you get better you will want to upgrade to a more professional model.  But that might be a year or so down the line.

I have a slightly earlier model of this one. Really good hardware wise, but the software.. Is kinda unstable for me.

You can look on ebay for a cheaper earlier model, look for Wacom Bamboo.

You can also look to see what these manufacturers carry, but I am not sure if they have good models below $50.  A lot of the sub-$50 models are usually mouse replacement tablets and not really designed for drawing.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graphics_tablet#Manufacturers

And a 14 year old should not be saying "shit" or using similar language.

Does the newer model make difference?

maybe in terms of features, but I doubt it will have a huge difference in terms of performance.

As someone who has used various Wacom models of different sizes, I can tell you the following and it applies to all tablets regardless of which manufacturer you buy from whether it's Wacom, Huion, Monoprice or other brands.

Size does matter a bit when you plan to use it for drawing.  A small tablet with a drawing surface area the size of a postcard can be frustrating to use.  Normally I look for something with the surface area the size of a standard A4 sheet of paper or close to it.  However tablets of this size can be more pricy.

They don't make a big difference.  People who have years of experience may find some improvements, but for a beginner, you won't notice anything at all.

My first tablet was a second hand Intuos from ebay, not even the latest model.  It worked fine for a few years.

Yeah, I am using one of those smaller ones and I can say I would have liked a bigger one.. But this is really good as is.

I do have it. For said game, it's fine, however I'd recommend a larger area for drawing and a Wacom tablet's pen would feel more natural
