2560x1080 res 7950 microstutter

Go to solution Solved by Aseliot,

For some reason unplugging my 3rd monitor (tv) solved the issue. Might do a windows reinstall to see if that works.

I've bought a new 21:9 ultrawide monitor with a 2560x1080 resolution. It's just about 800,000 pixels more so i guessed it shouldn't hurt my performance that much if i turn off AA and maybe some shadows or something.

My framerate on Path of Exile (70+ fps) and Project Cars (~60) seems fine except for the occasional micro stutter.

Thing is though it seems to do the same thing on the windows desktop when I drag around window from left to right real quick.

At first I thought it might be the new crimson driver so I installed the older catalyst 15.7.1 but that didn't solve it.

To me it seems like my gpu can handle it but I just have this one weird problem.

In process explorer I looked if any of the graphs peaked, the only thing that peaks ocassionaly is the i/o from for example chrome in which I was watching a video that also had a tiny stutter in it that seemed to sync up with the i/o peak

The graph just seems to be about the program i/o.

I've now noticed that crimson might not be properly deinstalled I used the clean up tool but the icon is still present in the lower-right corner but when I press any button in the interface it crashes and goes away. I already found out there were a lot of driver maps in my C:/AMD map so i removed everything and reinstalled the drivers again but i dont trust that icon still being there.

EDIT - I am just going to try and defragment my games drive. My C: is an SSD but has 40% fragmentation but i understand that this shouldnt be an issue for an SSD?
