 I know they manufacture cooling fans but this is literally the first time I read about them today. Anyone got any experience with them? Genuinely curious

Looks like they make server and industrial fans.

I guess that's good for me? I was reading that Lenovo use them as a OEM for fans

Remember seeing a lot of them in Akihabara. Thought about picking up some of their impeller fans (the blower-style ones) for computer exhausts. They crank air out, man.

Well, they would...

Yep - I'm amazed at how much air the pump out

You can find cheap Dell's or such for really low price and good parts a lot of times.

@Kobathor, is your sister your evil twin? Because that's like, the opposite of Worst Price/Performance Award 2015.

No, she's younger.. We bought the computer so that she could have one. I'm thinking of taking it and using it in my computer. But, that would be evil.

BUT SHE ONLY PLAYS MINECRAFT AND SKYRIM! I DON'T GET IT! IT'S PAIRED WITH A GT 640! WHY ME?? ;-;

i7 4770? :o

Yeah.. non K, but still great.

We got the computer from a friend, she didn't want it at all.

I got two 3930k 64gb machines with SSDs for 300 bucks apiece, sold one for 700 bucks. So I got a faster PC for -100 bucks. I win. OP, I have seen the fans before, they seem to have a similar performance to delta fans. Not the quietest, but 15 years later they still work like new.

A backstreet computer store deep in the bowels of Akihabara. It's pretty much the nerd equivalent of Makkah or Jerusalem or Salt Lake City or the Vatican. I found all sorts of awesome stuff there. It was AMAZING. I want to live there.

You lucky mofo. So they sell haswell CPUs there ? Or systems with haswell CPUs ?

It was a Core 2 Celeron-based machine with 512MB of RAM. But for all intents and purposes it was a fully-functioning computer for $8 (¥1000, technically) There are lots of places that sell tons of Haswell CPUs (not to mention a 5-high stack of 2600Ks), but you gotta really have a bit of a rummage. It's crazy the amount of awesome stuff you can find there. But it takes a lot of rummaging - there's a ton of legitimately worthless garbage there. And most of it is tax-free. Got my brother an i5-based laptop for $160.

Three streets of new and used computer components over a mile long. It's terrific.
