Simple as, you install it, then right click desktop, Save..

When it screws up, rightclick desktop, Restore.

Also handles multiple monitors, you can save profiles if need be as well.

Hi,

So recently I've been having trouble with my desktop icons moving about. To illustrate the problem, I have two monitors that I use for my PC with icons placed on both. I also use one monitor for my Xbone, and when I switch my left monitor, all icons move to the right monitor, and when I change my left monitor to my PC input, they still stay on the right monitor.

Is there any way to lock my desktop icons in to place at all times?

Thanks.

  1. Right Click on desktop screen.

  2. Place the cursor on View.

  3. In drop down menu, select auto align and check.

it then shifts all icons to the right of each monitor, this is how I wish my icons were permanently set up

I'm not running W10 but glad it works :)

To find it again.. for future uses...its easy

Just google "Desktop save restore" and his page is the first one that pops. (Just have to re-navigate back to his homepage from that link is all, which is 1 click)
