Hello everyone, I'm trying to make a new server for a startup, it'll see some traffic but not that heavy, mostly to run the company's software. I'm looking for a good affordable motherboard, this are the parts I've chosen so far. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

*Edit: For the PSU I'm thinking about the EVGA 500 W1 80+, 500W Continuous Power, but I couldn't find it in the partpicker page. You can see it here, http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00H33SFJU/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=2Q9VMDER4M0GD&coliid=I2C4VWTVWQHDP2&psc=1

I would just look for one with solid capacitors that are rated to run 24/7/365

Main PC: i5 4590 @ 3.5 GHz ♦ RX 480 Armor OC ♦ 16 GB DDR3 ♦ GA-Z97-HD3 ♦ 120 GB 840 EVO ♦ 120 GB Intel 520 ♦ W10 Home

Scrapyard PC: Xeon X5460 @ 3.8 GHz ♦ HD 7870 ♦ 8 GB DDR2 ♦ GA-P35-DS3L ♦ 80 GB Intel 320 ♦ 160 GB WD Caviar SE ♦ W10 Home

It's for a GPS tracking software for shipping trucks and I'm trying to stay on the $400 budget (comparing to this http://www.amazon.com/ThinkServer-i3-4130-7200rpm-Desktop-Computer/dp/B00FJF4S22/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1448932942&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=lenovo+thinkserver+TS140&psc=1 with the 16GB/1TB configuration) or at least be able to justify the price boost.

Could you give me some examples?

It doesn't necessarily need to be classified as server, just something like MSI's military class motherboard's.

What do you think of this one?

That would work fine. In the future though I would recommend upgrading to a Xeon and a board that supports ECC memory for 100% guaranteed no memory loss.

I can PM you some options. If I post in the main thread it will end up on ebay marked up 300%.

But those 2 things are a lot more expensive.

Agreed. I am only recommending this for at least a year in the future, as you probably will not benefit from ECC in the meantime, DDR3 is already pretty error-proof by itself. However, if you start to see a lot more traffic or are storing lots of sensitive info, I would definitely recommend you grab an Xeon in the future.
