First one is better. peripherals and monitors can easily be upgraded and sold later (a lot easier than selling a shitty SSD and a used GPU)

Haha thanks guys, that one is my build. However I did just realize that the RAM on the other build with the expensive peripherals is cheaper, so use that RAM with my build (the top one) to save some money.

well the top is better.... but a 980 ti on a 1080p 60 hz monitor? Sorta overkill... Of course you can upgrade in the future though.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

If you want better price to performance than you could get a smaller SSD and than maybe add a 144 Hz monitor.

My suggesttion, let go the SSD for now and consider it as a future upgrade or find a cheaper one and downgrade to a GTX980 in order to afford a good 27'' 2560x1440 monitor...the 980ti is just STUPIDLY overkill for the small ugly 1080p screen you picked etc.

As you can see this is cheaper than what you had plan, so you probably have room for a cheap 120gb SSD to install your windows and program and maybe a game or two of your favorite.

The GTX980 is perfectly capable of running games at 1440p.
