GTX 980 vs R9 390X for 2K

BluPaperclip

If you can't pay for more than a 980 then it's the way to go, but if you have some headroom then you should consider getting the Fury (non x).

I don't know CPU's but pentium 4 it's like 12 years old isn't it?

To be fair, I am running the first ever xeons which are basicly pentium 4s with HT and I have 2 of them, that gives me performance on par with the core 2 range with no HT.

Well, if 720p is classified as "HD", then 1080p would be "FulHD", 1440p would be "2k" and .... ya know what? I give up. just, just use the total pixel count :P

2K is defined as 2048 x 1080. It is not 1440p.

1440p is referred to as QHD, or Quad HD, which is 4x 720p, which is HD.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.
