No phone is perfect but if my G3 had a longer battery life, it wouldn't be far off.

Perfect could be for any reason, so specify why.

For me, it has to be the OnePlus One. It ran CyanogenMod, had close to no compromises, and was at a dirt cheap price. Shame they couldnt do the same with the Two despite the still low price for the specs, but they cut corners and had immature and unstable software.

I wouldn't say perfect, but I got the LG G4 for £300, a steal IMHO. It should arrive early this week - with black leather backcover

I was looking at a phone before. I will try to lay it out for easier readability

Baseline: Moto X Style 2015 (EU version)

Processor: changed to SD820

SD card + dual sim capability

Huge battery

AMOLED display instead of normal TFT/LCD

Fingerprint reader

USB type C

Stock android with the Moto features (shake for flashlight I believe)

Greater camera

Front facing speakers

Customisibility (of the Moto X Style) is still a must, what kept me from buying it was they don't ship to Denmark, so it was either a pitch black one, or just not getting it.

This would be a mustbuy phone for me.

Currently, the Oneplus X is available without an invite, it's been praised (ALOT) by reviewers so far. I found it to be too close to my LG Optimus G (E975) to want it. For the price, one can't really go wrong.

I feel like smartphone battery life has become a joke, at this point I have just decided to ignore it and find some quality power banks instead (found some Anker ones). This makes it easier to pick a phone.

CPU: I7 4790K(4.6@1.252v)                               Case: Fractal Design Define R5 Windowed(Black)           Cooler: CM 212 EVO + NF F12 iPPC

RAM: HyperX Fury 1600MHZ CL10 2x4GB      Storage: Samsung 850 EVO(250GB) + WD Red(2TB)      PSU: Corsair RM750 (and no, it hasn't blown up!)

MoBo: Asus Maximus VII Ranger                      Graphics: MSI GTX 970 TwinFrozr (1494MHZ Core)       OS: Windows 10 Enterprise

If the zenfone 2 had a better power button, 120/60fps video options, and newer Android, it would be top. Android 5's power efficiency is not as good as the more recent versions. I have no need for a top specs phone with no battery life.
