are the rumors true?

 

i bought this power supply on komplett.se and it had some good reviews and all, but some people are saying that it sucks, it will catch fire, it will fry my components.. is this true?

Depends if its a high end build its a higher chance than if its a basic af build without a gpu

In the past we've used the CX series, and it has caused nothing but trouble. Not that it will catch fire, but odd anomalies seem to be fairly common; all related to the CX power supply. They do not last long at all.

Yes that is quite a high end build and will likely cause problems for PC.

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

I3 4150, Intel HD graphics, corsair CX750M, 4gb ram, Asus H81M-E, corsair 230T, Intel stock cooler WD Green 2TB Gigabyte 550TI

Send it back. It can't keep the 600W output at anything more than 30 degrees Celsius.

dude i brought the same psu on komplett.dk and my brother aswell as on of my firends have this psu with a i7 4790 and msi gtx 970 you should be fine. ofcurse it is not one of the best psu there for the cheap price but it should be okay for running your build. atleast in my opinion
