new monitor help

Dayfly

Hey,

In short, I’m looking for a new monitor to game with my MSI GTX 970 so I’m going to state some things that I’d like and some that  don’t really need at the moment for your opinion on the correct monitor. HOWEVER, if you think that my 970 cannot run the things I’d like to have at least at Med then feel free to tell me that. (Budget: up to around 230 GBP or 345 USD) (looking on Amazon/Newegg/overclockers uk, etc.

Would like (able to compromise to get just one feature):

1440p

Ultrawide

preferably 27in or higher

Possibly IPS/PLS

Don’t really need:

144Hz (Used to 60Hz so it’s not like I can’t stay with 60Hz and maybe overlock to 70Hz if it works)

I’m looking at a nice monitor: LG 29UB55-B for 153 GBP (53% off at newegg)

Games I play: Assassins creed, watch dogs, battlefield, CSGO

As far as a 1440p ultrawide, the cheapest one you can get is around 400 GBP

(599.99 US - 399.16 GBP) AOC U3477PQU (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824160254&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=)

As far as a 1080p ultrawide, there are quite a few within your budget.

(299.99US - 199.57GBP) AOC q2963Pm (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/992715-REG/aoc_q2963pm_29_21_9_led.html)

(285.99US - 190.26GBP) LG 29UM57-P (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00V8FW14E/?tag=pcpapi-20)
