Program to test bottlenecks?

Are there any programs to test where my bottlenecks on my gaming is coming from?

My specs are in the signature.

Thanks

fire up any game (preferably the ones you play the most), and watch the CPU and GPU usage, whichever one is at 100% is the bottleneck, ideally you're after 100% for both. but it will be highly game dependent.

I suspect in most cases your GPU will be the bottleneck, but tbh that's not necessarily a bad thing as that CPU is good for most if not all high end GPUs in most situations.

I assume afterburner is a good one to watch gpu you on? GTA 5 will play on high and all the other settings up pretty high but the frames drop pretty harsh sometimes and a couple other ones do too. and it looks like there is a lot of stress on the cpu but i cant see the gpu rating in taskmngr.

Play a high end game, e.g crysis 3 or witcher 3. If your CPU usage is at 100% while your gpu is not 99%, then you have a bottleneck.
