are you sure 2x1TB is cheaper than 1x2TB?

Maybe he does stuff where he'd rather have 2 separate drives then portion one off

ex) Multiple OS's

250GB SSD for OS and one game. The HDDs will be in raid.. do you think it's worth the extra $40 or should I stick with one 1TB because that's basically enough. Although I wanted to store a lot of my favorite movies / new movies on them.

Is it the same price? I'm getting the 980 for only $409.. that's a pretty great deal.

The corsair air 540 has 2 3.5in bays on the bottom and it looks better with 2 drive in the bottom also having 2 drive keeps out dust.

You don't need raid for slow files like movies, go for a 2tb drive instead.

- Why would I want to downgrade to an older technology for the CPU?

- The 980 Ti is kind of overkill for my needs..

- Don't know why you changed the case.

I've heard RAID is also more reliable, so you're going to have to convince me a little bit more :P Thanks!

go ahead for 2 in RAID, wouldn't recommend it fully but go ahead

edit: no clue what the first benchmark was from :P probably DotA 2 or something

I downgraded the CPU so you could fit in a beefier GPU. But if you don't want it then stick with your old build.

I changed the case because the old case couldn't fit that GPU. :P

Raid can be more reliable but then you will only have 1tb and the other drive as a fail safe. For redundancy it's ok if you can fit it on your budget.

I usually prefer to stick with newer platforms :P

competes with the 980Ti in games man. hate to break it to you,

I really think I should stick with the 980. Lower TDP, runs cooler, can easily find information about it bc it's popular, etc.

Edit: 980 also has a higher core clock.

Only thing is the 390X is $50 cheaper.
