So Im planning a small itx build strictly for games and nothing demanding that would require much power I wanted someones opinion on the parts so far

Reasoning

CPU: was looking for 4 cores but was trying to keep under 650$ as i did not want to go past that, so I went intel for the hyperthreaded cores on the 6100 the only thing that would be cpu intensive would be league and dolphin emulator so as for the emulator part amd was not an option and i dont think i would need a cooler for this cpu do I?since it comes with a stock cooler

GPU: at first I was going to AMD but then the 950 had that response time shortening thing for moba's but for all I know it could just be a sales gimick and im dumb for believing it but ill take my chances.

MOBO/Chipset: I was going to go z97 g3258 but it only had 2 threads so i looked at the 4 thread option the 4170 i believe and for like 10 bucks more i could go h170 so i said whatever and went that route. also this board uses ddr3 which seems to just to keep getting cheaper everyday i just wanted a board with 2 ram slots and 2 antenna wifi with 4 3.0 ports i went asus over asrock just for brand name really

Storage: only wanted ssd's in this build as i wont be putting much data onto them. and this ssd is super cheap as there is a sale right now at least i think there is my 500gb evo was 170 and this is a little over 100 if i run out for whatever reason ill just throw in a cheap crucial ssd or something

Ram: its ram and if i want 16gb i can just add another stick.

Case: this is where I wanted to put my money in, something small was all i was looking for, i was focusing on micro atx but the case options were way better for mini itx, The only other options i was interested in were the small cooler master cases the bitfenix prodigy and the 380t, and well the handles won out.

PSU: i posted a forum asking what would fit they said a gs series I went with it didnt need anything big as the only real potential upgrade would be another ssd or another ram stick as i dont need a stronger gpu for this build or  cpu

Seems like a pretty balanced build. If I had to comment on anything, I'd recommend going a little bit cheaper on the case (if you can find one) and upping the GPU a bit if it's still within your budget. Cases really come up to personal preference though so if you like the case you have right now then it's a good choice as well - it's not too expensive but not super cheap either.

Also, you might want to consider picking up a slightly smaller SSD for now, and then adding an internal HDD in the future for expandable storage (or whenever you happen to need it). Although this depends on your...storage habits. ;)

I actually couldn't underclock my 5 year old GPU to make it as slow as a next-gen console.

This looks good, fantastic for your usage.

You don't need a cooler, it comes with the stock one.

If you want a really small case, look at the SG13, otherwise the 380T is also a good choice
