660ti sli. 5 screens or max 4 ?

so im trying to see what I can do.. and following what linus said in this (old) video. I can only do 4 screens ?



so. 5 screens or blocked to 4 for the rest of my life ?

In SLI, it would be a maximum of 4 screens. If you disable SLI, you could have more than 4. 

oh. wait. so I can use 5 screens. without sli.. but will it still run on both gpus ? or will it only use one for the5 screens ?

It will use whatever GPU it is plugged into to drive the display.

oh ok. just making sure.

so the 2 660ti's would be able to run the 5 screens on fsx without sli. 

I guess my plan still works then !

You could also plug 1 or 2 monitors into the motherboard and run them off the built in Intel or AMD gpu.

it is. pretty well actually.

but if I can squeese another like 80$ out of my allocated budget I will get a g3258 and a z97motherboard. and ddr3 ram...
