Hi, Thanks for taking the time to look at my topic.

I am confused on what motherboard to buy for my skylake build. (Budget is under $170)

Parts so far: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/FgTCHx

I'm using this computer for Video editing, Motion graphics, coding, gaming, etc.

Possible MB to choose: Asus z170-a, Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD5, or MSI (Don't really have one for MSI), Or anything you would recommed.

Asus: Pros: Love the UEFI bios, Pretty much everything i need, I like Asus products, $140     Cons: I have been seeing alot of bad reviews on this motherboard, Appears cheap, that I/O shield is awful.

Gigabyte: Pros: Alot of hardware features and future ports, Pcie shields for heavy graphics cards, two m.2 slots, $160, on board power button with ambient led and fast boot, over all amazing hardware. Nice I/O shield. Good amount of positive reviews.      Cons: BIOS LOOKS AWFUL (Personal preference), but it probably still functions fine. XMP profiles for gigabyte MB supposedly having some problems (So i won't be running my ram at 3200 if the XMP profile doesn't work right). 3 fan headers.

Msi: Not completly interested in MSI, but if you recommend me an MSI board that you think I'll like, then ill have a look. I do know i like my SATA ports in a 90 Degree angle lol.

I can't really trust reviews online anymore so i need some help and suggestions. Thanks for your time. :)

I don't know what your budget is but.  If you are worried about something feeling cheap with asus, why not step up to a pro board or a WS board.  Considering your potential work load it would serve you well in the long run.

edit: never mind just re-read your post and saw your budget, ignore me I just woke up......

edit2: with black friday cyber monday thing coming up you may be able to get those higher end boards under your budget actually

Hey thanks for the reply dude. Yeah, i have been cosidering the cyper monday thing haha. That ASUS Pro gaming looks pretty darn good. I like the backplate more, not many xmp problems from what i can tell by reviews, in budget, i get to keep Asus bios, and more 3.0 usbs. I'll keep this in mind, but ill still be looking around :). Thanks again.
