Is it possible to run Windows 10 off of a USB drive?

Go to solution Solved by Vozella,

I put windows on my spare HDD instead.

Is it possible to run Windows 10 off of a USB drive? I tried running Linux Mint off of it, but it didn't work. I'm trying to run Windows 10 off of it, but it's not showing the USB drive as a partition.

If it's possible, please tell me how.

I believe only some motherboards allow this. Do not quote me tho. I'm a compulsive liar.

It's saying my 16GB USB doesn't have enough storage. How much storage do I need?

I tried it with a 128GB USB and it's still saying it's not enough.

The program WinToUSB.

Well, to tell you the truth, I haven't used that tutorial; so I had no idea that there was such an error. Have you tried Googling it?
