dude, just letting you know, the current cpu you have could handle a 980 ti and not bottleneck it, i dont recommend getting a new cpu if you dont really need it.

An i7 unlocked edition. Not a 6 or 8 core i7 on a 2011 socket. That doesn't benefit gaming really. Though, while it is the best it's not super dramatic in performance for gaming compared to an i5. It's a little bit better then an i5 but an i5 which is very similar in performance for games but is cheaper and works well. That's why people recommend an i5.
