Is there a WhatsApp group for linustechtips, if yes I would like to join, if not I will create a group and will add anyone who wants to be added.

I think there isn't any official ones. You are free to make unofficial one but since WhatsApp uses real phone numbers, I'm not sure thats such good idea. Compared to Hangout, Razer Comms and even Skype which are tied to emails and aliases.
