I'm 22 years old and I'm a male from England. I have a problem where I sit at home most of the time in front of the computer. I go out on occasions. I don't like going out to places as much as before (moved to a new city don't know where to go). Also I'm overweight 85 KG, which is 187 lbs. I barely exercise, but I  do go for long walks if I feel like it. (The weather is cold, so it's a no no now)

 
I live by myself, Studying Computer Network at university in a City call Birmingham. Most of my friends and my parents live in London, which is a 2 hour drive from where I live. The only people I speak to are my parents, I call them on the phone everyday. They are the only people that I speak to. 
 
 
Please help. I wan't to loose the weight and get healthy.

Join a nice warm indoor gym :) you can make friends that way too, maybe take up some new hobbies while you are at it!

 

85kg is not so bad, try being me at like 130kg

Well I was 120KG 2 years ago. I went to 80KG then started to gain the weight again. The only problem that the closest gym to my place is 45 mins away. :( It's getting really cold here in Birmingham.

Well I was 120KG 2 years ago. I went to 80KG then started to gain the weight again. The only problem that the closest gym to my place is 45 mins away. :( It's getting really cold here in Birmingham. 

 

Really? how is it so far away? there MUST be one closer,  -  you could always buy a few bits of equitment for home, perhaps some weights, and a cheap exercise bike? (or get an adapter for a normal push bike)

hi

im no expert but i get some exercise by walking or bicycling to work (600M) or to the store (2KM ish) everyday. simply because i have no car and other choices. but you can usually walk and run somewhere

you can do sit ups with help from a bed or a couch or have something on your feet. i find it easier than push ups :P or as @ShadowCaptain said you can buy equipment or borrow. either way should work

edit 1: i bearly train any too but im about 160cm somewhere and weights about 65kg (last time i checked at the hospitle) a walk in the park is better than nothing as my doctor said, maybe some jogging too

Does your uni have an online forum for students? If so, use that to connect with your peers and see if anyone would like to go to the gym/train with you. You'll be much more motivated and hopefully have good company at the same time :)

Sweet well get you bike and get this - turns your bike into an exercise bike so you can still use it when its cold and snowing

 

or buy some random cheap ass bike from online for £80 and use that :P
