So 8 days till Cyber Monday and I have tweaked my build to what might my final build however I want your thoughts LTT. Have I done something horribly wrong or chosen a wrong part for something? Hi, yeah this looks good this would be my choice as you get a i7-4790k with hyper threading and overclock-ability while also getting a good motherboard and I think 16GB of RAM would help you alot.

Yeah the i7 is a great choice over the Zeon as if you want to do editing and multiple applications at once the hyper-threading will help alot. I know its over your budget but try and get a Z97 board (to overclock) and a good cooler so you can get even more performance.
