Cant use controller in battlefront on pc

I am really liking the air superiority mode in battlefront but I want to use a controller. I have a dual shock 4 with a usb cable that has worked in the past and I know that for a fact. But I have tried plugging it in once the game is launched, before it launched and things like that. But the game still refuses to detect my controller. Pls halp and ty!  :)

Try using x360ce
