Mouse DPi

Go to solution Solved by Xenift,

Yeah the G602 will work fine.

Don't worry.

At higher resolutions do you need a higher DPI, will my 2400 dpi G602 be able to handle 2K fast, or will it take more to move the mouse?

Thanks!

One dot (count) of a mouse equals one pixel, so if you have a 2560 pixel wide monitor, setting your mouse to 1280 dpi would make it so 2 inches of mouse movement would cover your whole monitor. So just do the maths really.

I use 1000 dpi on my Deathadder on a 1440p monitor, and it works perfectly fine.

One thing you gotta bare in mind with higher resolutions though, is actual icons don't get bigger, so if you go from 1080 to 4k, double you mouse dpi would make you sensitivity feel the same, but hitting UI elements will become harder.

Generally though, anything over 2000 dpi is pretty fast for 1440p or whatever.
