DT990 Pro + SupremeFX2015 ?

I heard the DT990 Pro (250ohm) was very picky with what DAC you use and would it work since SupremeFX 2015 on the Maximus VIII Hero is advertised to be able to power 600ohms.

Or should i get a proper DAC? And if, what recommendations do you have?

Purchase a cheaper board, and go with the DT990 and a sound card instead.... the Asus Essence STX is more than enough for the headphone. My brother uses the same setup.

But its the only board i could find with that gray color

Well, you can just get an external dac and amp combo like the SMSL SD793-II and get a toslink cable and hook that to the motherboard.

besides, it's gonna be inside your case anyway and you're not gonna stare at it 24/7. The ROG boards are just for looks imo. I'd rather just you get a decent sound card which might be better than sticking to the audio that the Hero board provides.

I'm sure he meant just have something decent to power them, and the motherboard you linked is a pretty high end motherboard so you shouldn't have any problems.
