I have decided to go with these parts for now and I'm like 90% sure of each selection except the MoBo and the Cooler, also I have not decided yet what GPU and Monitor I would go with. I'm only going to game on 1080p for now and my budget for both is around $350-$400 not more than that ...

Any advice?  :rolleyes:

snip!

very strange color coordination...why red RAM sticks? blue motherboard...black case...yellow PSU...

I'd pick my GPU first because unless you want 144hz monitor, any 60hz with low response and the type of panel you want will work fine. It probably go with a GTX 970 (I know the r9 380x has more vram but i prefer team green and plus you're gaming at 1080p)

What is the build for, I'm guessing editing or rendering (something that needs that cpu and ram), and then the gaming on the side or am I wrong? @WaelT

Yep true, but the machine won't be only for gaming, it will run Photoshop + Sony Vegas pro (Video Editing) and some VMs. Basically it will be the only computing resource for any purpose  B)

Oh okay. Then it'll do fine. You didn't mention that in your original post, though.

The PSU won't matter it will be hidden anyway ;)

reading this I'd Change my previous post and recommend a monitor with better color reproduction and spend what's left of your budget on a GTX 970/R 380x or GTX 960

@WaelT

That PSU is overpriced and not that good... there are much better options for much cheaper.  You probably won't need anywhere need that wattage, 650 would be more than enough unless you plan to Crossfire/SLI.  If you go the GTX 970 route, a 650W would support two of them easily.

Your psu went up in price not down, why? RM's are fine, no reason to pay more

Thank you so much, but I believe I need a slightly larger monitor :(

This will be as big as you can get with the price range, unless you want to drop to a 380, which I don't recommend.

Why don't you get an Ultrawide 3440x1440?

i would say because he has a 400$ budget for both the GPU and monitor...and the 34'' ultrawide 1440 start at like what? 650$?

look one post above...i found 25'' IPS 1080p 4MS :) within budget with an R9 390...but as i said a 970 would probably be better in vegas and photoshop since they have full support for CUDA acceleration which is faster than openCL.

this XFX unit is head and shoulders above the RM and it's 10$ more.
