recommended PS3, PS4 capture card

ok, i have a PS3, and i plan on getting a PS4 during the holidays, and i want to record game play from both, onto my pc. i have a beefy computer, so weather the card itself encodes the footage or the PC does doesn't matter. from the research ive been doing this: http://www.amazon.com/AVerMedia-Recorder-C985-Capture-Stream/dp/B007UXJ6LE/ref=as_sl_pc_ss_til?tag=bescapcar-20&linkCode=w01&linkId=&creativeASIN=B007UXJ6LE

looks like one of the best options, im just wondering if the community has any experience with it.

thanks

Normally I recommend the Avermedia Live Gamer HD or Live Gamer Portable as they don't suffer lag compared to Elgato's portable offerings but apparently with Elgato's latest game HD 60 Pro they have have gotten rid of the USB latency since it runs through PCI-e.

edit: if you want to record the PS3 I forgot you have to run through component cables since HDMI has HDCP. In that case, I say go for the Live Gamer Portable from Avermedia. Keep in mind that the LGP can only do 1080p30 or 720p60.

Elgato HD game capture, has build in editing software and is pretty reliable.

Also has the PlayStation adapter so you don't have to buy one
