So I want to buy a "new" computer and I stomped on a very good looking deal atleast for me on my local advert site for a pc

the specs are: CPU: i7 3820, MB asrock x79 extreme3, RAM: 16GB(still don't the brand), PSU chieftec 600w (I would change that), CASE: thermaltake commander(thermaltake vn400a1w2n), HDD: Seagate 500gb 7200rpm. The price is 480 Euros(possible to negotiate). So is it worth it or I should spend alot more on new pc?

So what price should I try and get it for because as I see he's still open for offers.

For something that outdated? Maybe 200, maybe. Still too much but to offer anything less you might as well pass on it, which is my advice.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

That's a horrible price. A 4 year old 500 GB Seagate HDD is trash, the PSU is trash, and for 480 Euro you could build a Skylake i5 system new with DDR4 in that case.

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor  (€229.85 @ Mindfactory)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B150M-D3H Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard  (€89.84 @ Mindfactory)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory  (€105.40 @ Mindfactory)
Case: Thermaltake Commander MS-I ID ATX Mid Tower Case  (€54.89 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Total: €479.98
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

I don't trust old motherboards and I really don't trust old mechanical drives. I'm just going to disregard the hard drives and the gpu, since you're not going to use it. You can build this for the same price:

CPU: Intel Core i7-5820K 3.3GHz 6-Core Processor  (€401.85 @ Mindfactory)
Motherboard: Asus X99-A ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard  (€233.84 @ Mindfactory)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2800 Memory  (€118.13 @ Mindfactory)
Total: €753.82

I mean this is a top notch system with fast RAM too, that I would much rather have for that price. And I see Quadro 4000 on ebay for $100 to buy it now, so it's not a particularly worthy piece of equipment.
