Lenovo Y50 Touch vs Non-touch weight

 So I've a few people having issues with the hinge on the Touch model of the Y50 which got me wondering - why is the Touch model the one affected? Some people were claiming it was cause of extra weight introduced with the Touch/4K hardware causing the hinge to be overburdened. Ideas?

Easily can be. Touch models are covered in glass so they're quite a bit heavier.

I see - so there's no reason to panic (I tend to do that) since I appear to have a non-touch model
