Which one and WHY

r9 380, because its better and costs the same, it also utilizes the 4gb of vram AND it performs better, about 10 percent better

R9 380 - 10-15% faster than a 960, isn't bottlenecked by the 128-bit laptop-style bus (my 860M has the same - yay!) and has a better designed cooler (Sapphire, MSI, XFX) which allows for more silence.

R9 380 is faster than a 960, has a bigger memory bus to utilize Vram better and it's not hot at all with a good cooler, power consumption is also still low enough for budget PSUs
