Cryorig C7 enough for OCing?

IMPERIUS

Hello,

I never liked big tower cpu coolers. I love looking thru my case and seeing everything from the front to the IO at the back. But I also don't really like topflow cpu coolers because the fans are so big they cover up a lot of space, imo too much space. I like aios but I don't want to pay 120eur for a good aio.

So my future upgrade plan is to get an i5-4690k with a r9 390 (1080p ultrawide). And I found the Cryorig C7 (http://www.cryorig.com/c7.php). I really like its form factor and white fan but I do know its not enough for a big overclock. However, I don't think the i5 will be bottlenecking the 390 with a little oc, something that the C7 could handle, maybe 3.8ghz or so, will it?

And when the time comes when I will need a bigger oc I can get something like the dark rock 3 and just deal with its size.

TL;DR: will the C7 be enough for a small oc so that the i5k won't bottleneck the 390 for a year or two?

Edit: anyone knows how loud it is? But the 390 is probably louder than it sooooo....

Thanks!

Longboarders/ skaters message me!

it might be (~25% better than stock), but it wont bottleneck anyway

The c7 is more than capable of handling a 3.8ghz overclock, even a 4ghz one. I'm pretty sure that the temps will remain under 75c :)

And the cpu probably won't need to be oc'd a lot anyways, right?

no not really, as the 4690k at stock speed won't bottleneck a 390 anyway :)
