So i Recently decided to upgrade my computer. I went with a i7-2600k and a GTX 970. I have a P8h61-mx r.20 motherboard and a 500w powerblock. So i successfully installed the graphics card yesterday and enjoyed it fora few hours and went to bed. Woke today and started onthe cpu. Swap everything over use the thermal compund and put it back together and nothing. itried every combination of removing stuff and replacing it that i could think of aswell as trying it with the old graphics card, but nothing. Then I found out I hadn't updated the bios first, so okay I swap the cpu's again and power up, nothing. I am now neither able to access the bois on either cpu with any combination of different things and it's really getting under my skin now. help would be greatly appreciated as this is beginning to get ridiculous. I'm actually having to write this on a surface tablet that which I can tell u isn't fun

Thx in advance

Try reinstalling your motherboard and cpu drivers, or if they need updating do that. Otherwise I don't really know.

His pc is failing the post, can't install anything.

OP: are the fans spinning up? If so, check for bent pins in the socket. If not triple check your power cables that are plugged into the motherboard.
