What is this worth?

So last fall I built this PC...

I put around $1500 into it when I built it. Everything is in very good condition and has been taken care of. How much can I expect the price to have depreciated in this amount of time? Is asking $900 too much? (Note: I'd include the monitor as well)

take current retail prices and take 25% off

My general rule of thumb would be to sell at 60% of new price which would be 900$, a fair price. So that's fair. The question is, that's a really good build- why are you trying to sell it?

Also you might have an easier time selling it part by part.

Take 50% off the retail value of the cheapest equivalent system

Assuming its the $1300 one that would mean around $700

Thanks! I had a great time building it and it's served its purpose very well over the past year. I'm selling it because I'm in college and don't really have time to game or anything. I'm hoping to buy an ultrawide( preferably the Dell U3415W) that I can hook my MacBook Pro up to with the money from this.

That's terrible advice. Just because that's what you would pay for doesn't mean that's nobody else would pay more. The purpose is to help the OP, not screen him over out of money he could have made.

I gave selling price not list price. For list price 900 is fine. I just went with how the used market around me works.

With that CX PSU, its completely worthless /s

For real, I would spend 700-800$ for just the tower (no monitors and stuff) because its still a well-performing build
