Can you fold offline?

I was wondering if my internet goes out can I still fold? I would assume all of the information required to fold is already downloaded and just has to wait until it can connect to the server and upload the information.

Yes, but you won't be able to send off completed WUs or download new WUs.

You don't need a constant connection to fold, you only need it to report back when you complete tasks, and download new ones.  Usually your machine keeps a small stockpile of tasks so it can go for a few rounds without internet.
