So I kept hearing this ticking noise coming from my brand new rig.  Every component is new so I was a bit concerned.  At first I noticed it when I was gaming and I assumed that is was the vid card because it was under load.  Then later I noticed it was happening when the computer wasn't under load.  I ignored it for a little while and it settled down and I thought it was good.  Then it started happening again.  I did a search on the forums and a lot of ticking/clicking noises came up for PSUs so I figured I better take the side panel off and pinpoint the noise so I can take care of it.  When I put the side panel down by the balcony door (it is nice and cool outside) I realized that it wasn't the computer, the ticking noise was now coming from down by the floor!  I have a Phanteks Enthoo Pro so it has the windows in the panel and I guess they aren't set right or something.  I am going to try to RMA just the panel. I just thought I would post my experience to see if anyone has ever seen it happen.  My gpu blows heat right on the panel so temp changes might be causing it.

Probably just the thermal expansion and contraction. My old case did the same. If possible, see if you can remove the side panel window and put some foam between it and the frame.
