He just won't upgrade to a S6 or something...

Sorry for your dad. My dad used to have the same phone and it was nothing but problems for him. What bothered me the most about the phone was the pentile display.

What do you define as "little to no improvement"? The 5x is a clear improvement, lol.

 

I wouldn't want a phone that throttles after 2 minutes, and shuts down the fast cores after 12. I also don't want a phone that takes pictures upside down. The other areas only show a mild improvement.

It's kinda slow, probably because of the random apps loaded on the phone.

If he factory resets the phone then it will run fast smooth again.
